141 – We were just kids – with James Cawley

Listen to this episode

Today, we are honoured to have James Cawley join us in the studio to talk about his experiences with the PPCLI (Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry) in Afghanistan.

We talk about the tour, having writers on the tour, trying to stay in contact with other soldiers, being part of a team or a unit, and PTSD.

Trying to go through life’s battles alone is tough.  There are associations and support available to help.  We talk about the importance of finding that help, in this heartfelt episode.

That was really great that James got to tell his story. I met James at the PPCLI Association dinner and Malcolm and all I can say is they are two very nice guys and I’m proud to have met them and to call them my friends. They are so young and have been through so much in such a short while. My door is always open for these guys any time.
